Course Overview:

In B.C., workers who conduct asbestos surveys must hold the appropriate WorkSafeBC asbestos certification.

This 2-day comprehensive training course provides the foundation for conducting asbestos surveys and combines classroom instruction with hands-on exercises. Participants learn the core competencies required for Level 1 (Foundational Awareness) and Level S (Surveyor Safety) certification.

Asbestos surveyors are responsible for identifying the presence, location, quantity, and extent of asbestos-containing materials for asbestos inventories and for renovation, expansion, upgrade, and demolition projects.

The course covers the knowledge and practical techniques required to safely inspect buildings, identify suspected asbestos-containing materials, develop sampling plans, collect bulk samples, and document survey findings.

RJ & Associates is a WorkSafeBC-approved asbestos training provider for Level S Surveyor Safety. This course combines Level 1 Foundational Awareness and Level S Surveyor Safety training. Participants who successfully complete the required training are eligible to complete the WorkSafeBC certification examination for Level S Surveyor Safety certification.
